Mission

As a leadership group working in collaboration, the Missionary Cenacle Family Council’s mission is to ensure the continuation and expansion of the charism and its missionary activity into the future. This charism calls each person, lay and religious, to work for the preservation of the faith in the providence of everyday life, especially among the poor and abandoned, in what Fr. Judge called the “tangled portion of the vineyard.”  The Council’s decisions are determined through taking counsel, especially with members of the international Missionary Cenacle Family

Missionary Cenacle Spiritual Exercises

Dear Missionary Cenacle Family,

Grace and Peace!

The Missionary Cenacle Spiritual Exercises Committee would like to introduce a team of Spiritual Guides that will be available to you. If you wish to do the Exercises remotely, that is, meeting via Zoom, Skype, phone, or any other electronic means of communication with a spiritual guide.

How does it work?

You set apart 5-8 days for prayer and reflection. You can do it at your place of residence, or if there is a retreat place that can accommodate you and it is safe to do so, we recommend you do that.  (The At-Home version is also available with little disruption to your daily routine).

  1. The material of the Missionary Cenacle Spiritual Exercises will be available electronically. If you have a hard copy of the MSCE book, you can use that as well. https://missionarycenaclespirituality.com/
  1. You meet with your spiritual guide daily to share the fruits of your prayer.  (You can make other meeting arrangements with your spiritual guide).
  2. As you set apart your days for reflection, we recommend you set a schedule for the week breaking away from your daily routine.
    • Set time for getting up in the morning, time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner,
    • Schedule or set aside three (3) Prayer Periods of one-hour each for Lectio Divina and Review of prayer.
    • If you have access to daily Mass, plan to attend, if not participate virtually while doing act of Spiritual Communion.
    • It is important to take time for rest and recreation. We invite to a spirit of as much silence as possible, however strict silence is not expected.

Once you decide when you want to do the Exercises send us a message using the Missionary Cenacle Family tab on the Menu.

We also offer an At-Home version of these Exercises that can be done in your everyday life. No need to go away to a secluded place or take time away from work! All you need is 10-20 minutes a day to sit in Silence and Reflect and Meditate on a brief selection of our Missionary Cenacle Tradition and Sacred Scripture.

Contact us for more information using the Missionary Cenacle Family tab on the Menu.
